The Brooklyn
Castle.

A late-nineteenth-century landmark of brick and terracotta, returned to the city after a multi-year restoration of its façade, ornament, and ironwork. The work was recognized with the New York Landmarks Conservancy's Lucy G. Moses Preservation Award and a Preservation Award from The Victorian Society New York.

Corporate Headquarters · New Jersey

A headquarters,
fully let.

A purpose-built corporate campus of 117,500 square feet, held under a long-term lease to a single tenant. The building combines headquarters office space for five hundred employees with an integrated R&D biotechnology laboratory. The interiors are an essay in considered office architecture: a bamboo barrel-vault stair, a perforated-metal halftone façade in the lobby, finishes pitched to the seriousness of the work being done inside. Stable, institutional, quietly working.

The Practice

Founded in 1990, Maxim Properties has held real estate in California, New Jersey, New York, and Florida. Today we operate primarily out of New York — restoring, developing, and stewarding commercial property with care, on a measured timeline, alongside tenants who build something real.

I. Restoration

Historic fabric, returned to use. Patient craft, in service of buildings worth keeping.

II. Development

Ground-up and adaptive — built to last, answering to the neighborhood it joins.

III. Stewardship

A landlord's craft. Quiet, attentive, in service of long-term tenant relationships.

An introduction
is welcomed.
